It’s fair to say not all of the Copylab team are totally engaged in the World Cup. Outrageous, I know. So, in a shocking contrarian stance, we’ve decided to launch a campaign to promote knowledge of the countries, economies, linguistics and weirdness of each nation represented in Brazil. Yes, we will look beyond the haircuts, tattoos and preening nonsense of each country’s 11 overpaid envoys.

Each day for the next month – or until we run out of ideas – or until quarter end becomes just too painful – we’ll find something interesting, fun, worthy or odd about one of the countries playing in that day’s fixtures.
